It started peacefully... the day was dawning, my son and I were sitting up in bed, cups of tea clutched in our hands, sleep in our eyes... idly discussing life the universe and everything...
Homer had been roaming the house, looking for clues or something, digging for treasure in his litter box, the usual morning stuff..
When suddenly! Homer enters the room at warp speed, lands on the dog.. who yelps and jumps off.. Homer puffs up like a well, a really puffy thing.. and my son and I recover our composure.. nearly tea everywhere then!
Then a couple of minutes later the dog comes back in, and there is blood pouring down her cheek!
OMG! Homer has scratched her just underneath her eye... poor dog! So I had to get up and bathe the eye. Fortunately no real damage, just a tiny nick.. must have hurt though! Hopefully all will heal up OK.
Honestly Homer! It's not even 7am yet!
